Job Title Construction Lead III Compensation $77.00/hr Location George West, TX (Field assignments throughout the Eagle Ford) Schedule Monday–Thursday, 10–12 hour days (occasional extended hours as required) Assignment Length Approximately 2 yearsPosition Overview The Construction Lead III is responsible for leading brownfield upstream oil & gas wellsite construction projects while ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective execution. This is a hands-on field leadership role overseeing contractors, construction crews, commissioning activities, and project execution from engineering review through startup. The primary focus of this assignment is managing instrument air compressor installation projects (approximately 60–80 installations per year) across the Eagle Ford asset, while also supporting other mechanical construction projects as business needs require. The Construction Lead serves as the primary construction representative between Operations, Facilities Engineering, contractors, and commissioning teams to safely execute facility upgrades, production improvements, and infrastructure projects.Primary Responsibilities Construction Management
Lead brownfield upstream wellsite construction projects.
Manage approximately 60–80 instrument air compressor installations annually.
Supervise construction crews and contractors.
Coordinate daily field construction activities.
Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Engineering & Technical Support
Participate in engineering design reviews.
Interpret P&IDs.
Conduct site walkdowns.
Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Select construction materials.
Coordinate with office and field engineering teams.
Commissioning & Startup
Coordinate commissioning activities.
Support:
Instrument air compressor installations
Gas lift systems
Wellhead compression
Artificial lift installations
Safety system testing
Crane operations
Assist with startup and turnover activities.
Safety & Regulatory Compliance
Ensure compliance with BPX standards and regulatory requirements.
Administer Permit to Work (PTW) processes.
Enforce:

Energy Isolation
HSSE requirements
Promote safe construction practices.
Report process safety concerns and operational risks.
Contractor Management
Direct contractor work.
Monitor productivity, quality, and schedule performance.
Verify regulatory compliance.
Maintain construction documentation.

Troubleshoot construction issues.
Support corrective construction maintenance.
Implement improved construction practices.
Reduce downtime.
Improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
Required Experience Candidates should possess:
5+ years of upstream oil & gas construction management experience
Brownfield wellsite construction experience
Experience managing mechanical construction projects
Contractor management and field supervision
Engineering design review participation
P&ID interpretation
Site walkdowns
Bill of Materials development
Cost control and project budgeting
Commissioning and startup experience
Wellhead equipment knowledge
