Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data platforms and pipelines. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Databricks, Apache Spark, SQL, Python/PySpark, and Data Warehousing, along with experience leading data engineering initiatives in cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks, Apache Spark, and PySpark.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes for structured and unstructured data.
• Design and implement enterprise data warehouse solutions and dimensional data models.
• Optimize Spark jobs and SQL queries for performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable data solutions.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and best practices across the data platform.
• Mentor and lead a team of data engineers through technical guidance and code reviews.
• Support CI/CD, automation, and production deployments for data pipelines.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong expertise in Databricks, Apache Spark, Python/PySpark, and SQL.
• Experience designing and maintaining Data Warehouses, data marts, and dimensional models.
• Hands-on experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and big data processing solutions.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, performance tuning, and query optimization.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and Agile development methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Databricks Workflows.
• Knowledge of streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka or Spark Structured Streaming.
• Experience with orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or Azure Data Factory.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or other BI/reporting tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
