Olsson is an engineering and design firm dedicated to improving the world through innovative solutions. The Senior Transportation Engineer will lead projects in traffic planning and design, focusing on enhancing transportation systems and community safety.
Responsibilities:
- Lead traffic planning, studies, design, and operations tasks and projects
- Develop innovative solutions for traffic management, signal systems, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)
- Improve traffic operations, safety, and pedestrian circulation for cities and communities
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to contribute and work well on a team
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in traffic engineering, traffic operations, or ITS projects
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in Texas
- Working knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation
- Working knowledge of software including Synchro, SimTraffic, HCS, VISSIM or other similar software
- Experience with traffic studies and design projects
- Local industry knowledge and experience
