The Business Development Manager - Components will manage a growing market, drive sales growth, and build strategic customer relationships while identifying trends and developing new business opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a growing $6M+ market and drive sales growth by expanding key OEM accounts and developing new business opportunities
- Build and manage strategic customer relationships across engineering, procurement, operations, and executive teams
- Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive insights to support growth strategies
- Partner with Engineering, R&D, Product Management, and Supply Chain to deliver customer-focused solutions and new product opportunities
- Develop and execute sales plans, negotiate contracts, and achieve revenue and profitability targets
- Manage pipeline activity, forecasting, pricing, and account strategies through CRM and data-driven analysis
- Travel up to 50% across North America to support customers, uncover opportunities, and strengthen key account relationships
Requirements:
- Experience in sales, marketing or product management with track record of increasing responsibility
- Ability to sell technical products and communicate effectively with both engineers and executive decision-makers
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and contract management skills
- Experience in strategic, data-driven long-term growth
- Experience in gears, valves, pneumatics, automation, robotics, power transmission, or related industrial markets is highly preferred
- Engineering degree preferred in mechanical engineering, product/marketing management, technology or comparable knowledge and qualifications acquired in practice
