Senior Software Engineer

Care.com is a consumer tech company focused on solving the challenge of finding care for loved ones. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop and maintain web applications, mentor team members, and implement innovative technologies to enhance user experience.

Responsibilities:

• Develop childcare/daycare directory listings using open-source web development frameworks such as Next.js, React, Typescript, MUI5, Micro frontends, and GraphQL
• Design and build front-end reusable and scalable components for other applications
• Troubleshoot application production issues and categorize and prioritize them during outages
• Mentor other software engineers and developers to facilitate career growth and team productivity
• Implement Playwright end-to-end automation tests for the provider network, a Small Medium Businesses (SMB) applications
• Implement GraphQL mutations and run queries for UI data presentation, leveraging user experience enhancements such as animations and transitions
• Perform code reviews to identify vulnerabilities and improve security
• Write tests for React components using React Testing Library with a minimum of 85% code coverage
• Maintain web applications with the latest features and technologies to improve performance and provide customers with the best quality product

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical/Electronics Engineering
• five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a closely related technical role
