Sales Business Development

Water Otter is an eLearning continuing education program serving professionals in the water and wastewater industry. They are seeking a Sales Business Development professional to grow their presence in this sector by identifying leads, conducting outreach, and building relationships with industry partners.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and qualify leads
• Conduct outreach to prospective clients
• Build strong relationships with utility organizations, service providers, and industry partners
• Perform market research
• Manage a sales pipeline
• Deliver presentations or product demonstrations
• Collaborate with internal teams to refine messaging and offerings
• Track performance metrics
• Provide customer feedback to inform product improvements
• Ensure a positive experience throughout the sales cycle

Requirements:

• Candidates should possess strong communication and customer service skills to engage prospects, support clients, and collaborate with internal teams
• Candidates should possess analytical skills and market research capabilities to interpret data, identify trends, and target high-potential segments
• Candidates should possess lead generation skills to build and manage a pipeline through outreach, networking, and digital channels
• Relevant experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in eLearning, SaaS, or the water and wastewater industry
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and meet or exceed sales goals
• Proficiency with CRM systems and common productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software, video conferencing)
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
