Senior Backend Software Engineer

Sunbound is a company that builds AI-powered technology for assisted living and skilled nursing operators. They are seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to help grow their product and work closely with the CTO to shape company direction and culture.

Responsibilities:

• Make architectural and engineering design decisions
• Collaborate cross-functionality on product ideation and direction
• Define solutions to new problems and own the related projects
• Propose, demonstrate, and implement improvements to our tooling stack
• Provide input into how offline processes can best be implemented in product
• Help build an amazing, world-class product

Requirements:

• BA or BS (or Master's) in Computer Science or related technical discipline
• 6-12 years of experience in software development
• Experience building software solutions incorporating disparate aspects of complex business processes
• Proficiency in backend development
• Proficiency with Node.js or other back end frameworks like Rails or Flask
• Proficiency with express
• Clear communication verbally and in writing with non-technical stakeholders
• On-site 3 days a week in our office
• Experience at fintech companies a major plus
• Preferred candidates based in New York or San Francisco
