Job Title: SAP MES Solution Architect

Location: Irvine, CA (Hybrid)

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing & MES Solution Architect to lead the architecture and delivery of SAP Manufacturing solutions for a global pharmaceutical organization. This role requires a seasoned SAP Manufacturing expert with deep functional knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing, extensive MES integration experience, and a strong background in Pharma Manufacturing.

The ideal candidate will serve as the technical leader for the engagement, driving solution architecture, manufacturing system integration, SAP transformation initiatives, and executive-level stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end solution architecture for SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing and MES initiatives.
• Drive the overall technical direction of SAP Manufacturing projects from solution design through deployment.
• Design and implement scalable SAP Manufacturing solutions aligned with business and operational objectives.
• Architect integrations between SAP S/4HANA and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), ensuring seamless data flow across manufacturing operations.
• Lead SAP and MES rollout activities for new manufacturing facilities and production units.
• Provide architecture guidance for SAP S/4HANA upgrades, enhancements, and transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with business, manufacturing, quality, and IT teams to define future-state manufacturing processes.
• Participate in architecture governance, design reviews, and solution validation.
• Present technical strategies, project status, and key decisions to executive leadership and steering committees.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in SAP Manufacturing and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
• Deep functional expertise in SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing.
• Proven experience designing and implementing integrations between SAP S/4HANA and MES platforms.
• Hands-on experience leading new manufacturing plant/unit rollouts using SAP and MES solutions.
• Strong background in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing with a thorough understanding of regulated manufacturing processes.
• Experience with at least two SAP S/4HANA upgrade implementations.
• Strong knowledge of SAP Manufacturing processes including production planning, production execution, shop floor integration, and manufacturing operations.
• Ability to lead solution architecture discussions and provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience leading Executive Steering Committee meetings and engaging senior business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering large-scale SAP Manufacturing transformation programs.
• Experience working in highly regulated environments such as Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, or Life Sciences industries.
