Prevention Policy and Project Manager

Washington State Health Care Authority is seeking a Prevention Policy and Project Manager in the Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery. This role involves overseeing programmatic policies, developing strategic prevention initiatives, and managing compliance with state and federal contracts to enhance public health and substance use disorder prevention efforts across the state.

Responsibilities:

• Complete policy analysis related to substance misuse prevention
• Conduct bill and hearing analyses for cannabis legislation
• Manage and engage with high-level interagency workgroups
• Manage contracts for provider trainings
• Deliver technical assistance to support grantees in implementing effective evidence-based program models
• Develop and present presentations related to state cannabis policy
• Support contracts aimed to evaluate substance use trends and the effectiveness and reach of the Community Prevention and Wellness Initiative (CPWI) and Community Based Organization grant programs funded through the DBHR Prevention/Promotion section
• Support CPWI coalitions through contract management and by providing technical assistance related to grant requirements, community organizing, strategic planning, and selection, implementation, and evaluation of prevention/promotion programs and strategies
