Meade is a full-service design firm specializing in innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions for data centers and large-scale construction projects. They are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer III with Data Center Load Management experience to design electrical systems, perform design calculations, and collaborate with various stakeholders on high-profile projects.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for designing electrical systems and performing design calculations
- Review, signing and sealing of projects
- Review submittals, RFIs, change orders, preparation of record drawings, site visits, inspections and participation in commissioning work
- Writing and editing of electrical equipment specifications, selecting equipment, electrical systems and devices
- Ensure jobs are completed accurately, within deadlines and on budget
Requirements:
- 4+ years of Professional Electrical Engineering design experience in the construction industry
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Valid Electrical Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience designing power systems for data centers, commercial offices, manufacturing facilities, medical buildings, or other large commercial projects
- Experience working independently, managing priorities and providing mentorship to junior staff
- Strong understanding of National and International Building Codes and NFPA Standards
- Advanced knowledge of equipment power requirements, including large scale standby and emergency power system, including interactive generator controls systems
- Ability to think strategically and demonstrate flexibility in order to achieve long-range objectives
- Self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity and motivated to work as a team
- Top-notch organization, attention to detail combined with excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM and Revit
- Experience in load planning and programming a plus
- Coding experience a plus
- Experienced in producing Protective Device Coordination and Arc Flash studies is preferred
- Experienced with Medium Voltage equipment selection and specifications is preferred
