Environmental Assistant (Housekeeping) position.
8 hours per day; 5 days per week.
Job Description:
"Aloha Nursing Rehab Centre is a medium sized
Long Term Care facility in Kaneohe that operates 24 hours a day/7 days a week.

We are looking for hard-working and dependable candidates to join our team in
the Environmental Services Department. We have 2 full-time positions available.
Housekeeping duties include maintaining the facility in a clean and sanitary
manner according to established standards, observing proper cleaning and
disinfecting techniques and requires walking and standing for most cleaning
duties, frequent kneeling and bending to clean low areas. Able to push/pull
utility carts in excess of approximately 200 pounds. Able to lift supplies up
to twenty-five (25) pounds. Frequent handling of a variety of commercial
detergents, cleaning solutions and cleaners.
Environmental team members require the ability to use common cleaning
implements such as mops, vacuum cleaners, etc. Exposure to infections, odors
and peculiarities in the behavior of aged residents. Must be able to read,
write and speak English, follow oral and written orders and instructions in
English while maintaining effective and courteous communication with other
staff, residents, families and other visitors. Team work is a must!
Job Duties:
• Assembles supplies from supply room and transports to work area. • Properly cleans and disinfects equipment, furnishings, walls, floors, window sills, curtains, vents, and other surfaces as directed. • Scours and polishes sinks, tubs, mirrors, and similar equipment. • Replenishes supplies of soap, towels, toilet tissue and other dispensable items. • Properly empties and maintains trash cans and ash trays. • Reports supply/equipment needs and negative conditions in work area to supervisor. • Supports the facility’s vision, mission, philosophy and core values. • Conducts self in a professional manner that is aligned with the facility’s core values. • Ensures the safety and well-being of residents entrusted to the facility’s care. • Maintains current knowledge/practice of proper infection control and safety procedures. • Attends mandatory in-service training, general staff and departmental meetings regularly. • Maintains current physical examination and TB clearance per regulation. • Performs other duties as assigned or required."
Requirements
Requires walking and standing for most cleaning

laden utility carts in excess of approximately 200 pounds. Able to lift
supplies up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
Must meet the basic health requirements
including 2 step TB skin test or chest x-ray.
Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
No covid vaccine is required.
