The Role
As an Civil Engineer Level I with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.
- Preliminary & Detailed Design
- Develop horizontal/vertical alignments, profiles, and cross-sections for roads, highways, and internal plant roads.
- Produce grading models, earthwork optimization, and cut-fill balancing for sites, well pads, process areas, and utility corridors.
- Civil 3D Production & BIM Coordination
- Build and manage Civil 3D surfaces, corridors, assemblies, subassemblies, pipe networks, grading objects, and quantity take-offs.
- Set up and maintain data shortcuts, styles, templates, and production standards for consistent deliverables.
- Coordinate with BIM/VDC teams for model federation and clash detection across civil, structural, and underground services.
- Technical Documentation & Approvals
- Prepare drawings and documents: plan & profile, typical cross-sections, road furniture/signage/markings, grading plans, BoQs, method statements, design reports, and IFC packages.
- Support authority submissions and client/PMC reviews, respond to RFIs, and incorporate review comments efficiently.
- Nice-to-Have / Preferred
- Basic to intermediate Navisworks/InfraWorks/ReCap workflow knowledge for context and model reviews.
- Understanding of pavement design (flexible/rigid), subgrade improvement, and geotechnical interfaces.
- Experience with BIM execution plans (BEP), model coordination meetings, and clash resolution workflows.
- Prior experience with Middle East or SE Asia authority standards (if applicable to your projects).
- Key Deliverables
- Alignment geometry, profiles, cross-sections, corridor models and quantity take-offs.
- Grading plans, earthwork summaries, and mass haul diagrams.
- Signage/markings, safety barriers/guardrails layouts, and road furniture details.
- IFC drawing sets, BoQs, method statements, and design reports.
- Model coordination outputs (clash reports, federation snapshots) and as-built updates.
- Tools & Tech Stack
- Autodesk Civil 3D (advanced).
- AutoTURN (preferred), Navisworks/InfraWorks (nice-to-have).
- MS Office (Excel for BoQ/estimation), SharePoint/Teams or CDEs.
About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (M.E./M.Tech preferred).
- 10–15 years of hands-on design experience in roads/highways and site development; demonstrable exposure to O&G/industrial infrastructure (greenfield/brownfield).
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D: surfaces, corridors, intersections, pipe networks, grading, labels/styles, data shortcuts; strong drawing production skills.
- Familiarity with international road and highway design standards, including AASHTO, DMRB, AUSTROADS, and Gulf MOR, with the ability to apply these codes effectively in multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
- Experience preparing BoQs/estimates, design reports, and IFC packages.
- Strong coordination and communication skills with multidisciplinary teams (Civil/Structural/Mechanical/E&I/Process).Demonstrated commitment to HSE and constructability in industrial settings.
