Position Overview
As the Senior Principal Architect M&A, you will lead the technology integration and cloud transformation strategy for corporate mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. You will evaluate target companies, design cross-cloud architectures, and orchestrate seamless workload migrations between major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform). This is a high-visibility role bridging corporate strategy and deep cloud engineering.
M&A Due Diligence: Assess target companies' IT estates, technical debt, and cloud maturity. Define "Day 1" (interoperability) and "Day 2" (full integration) roadmaps.
Cloud-to-Cloud Migration: Design and execute large-scale transformation strategies to transition workloads from one cloud vendor to another (e.g., AWS to Azure/Google Cloud Platform).
Architecture Governance: Establish blueprints for cross-cloud networking, identity consolidation (IAM/Entra ID), security compliance, and FinOps optimization.
Technical Leadership: Act as the primary technical liaison between corporate development, executive stakeholders, and engineering teams to align cultures and architectures.
Experience: 12+ years in enterprise/cloud architecture, with 4+ years specifically in M&A technology integrations or carve-outs.
Cloud Mastery: Proven track record of leading successful cloud-to-cloud migrations across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Technical Depth: Expert knowledge of multi-cloud networking, multi-tenant identity management, and large-scale data migration strategies.
Executive Presence: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical risks and TCO models to C-level executives.
