GL & Fixed Assets Accounting with German

ArcelorMittal Business Center of Excellence is looking for candidates for a position of 

Accounting CLS Support- Fixed Asset Accounting with German

You will be responsible for:

• Recording new fixed assets and managing the existing asset portfolio
• Performing SOX controls in the area of asset accounting
• Preparing asset ledgers, asset registers, and internal/external reports
• Documenting disposals and scrapping of assets in line with company guidelines
• Posting of asset disposals, scrapping, and sales of tangible assets
• Preparing and executing depreciation runs, including validation and reconciliation
• Performing impairment reviews and preparing for unscheduled depreciation
• Manual postings related to fixed asset transactions
• Tracking assets under construction (AuC) and managing their capitalization
• Creating handover protocols for asset activations
• Determining payables to asset suppliers and coordinating invoice workflows
• Performing CAPEX/OPEX reconciliation, including OPEX-to-CAPEX conversions
• Prepare documentation for utilization for grant/funding programs
• Working with BI reports and preparing analyses related to investments
• Determining cost entries for cost center projects (HGB compliant)
• Identifying and executing start-up OPEX
• Performing maintenance cost analyses and tracking related invoices
• Reconciling SAP reports for capital expenditures
• Conducting analyses in the maintenance area
• Invoice tracking in the CAPEX/cost center projects/start-up Opex area

Our expectations:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting 
• Knowledge of IFRS and HGB standard
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in similar role
• Fluency in German (both written & spoken)
• Fluency in English (both written & spoken)
• Strong IT skills for following systems: - Microsoft tools (such as Outlook, Excel, Word, OneNote, etc)
• Corporate/Segment Tools: - BPM, - SAP ACE and ACE BI
• Result oriented
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Continues to perform effectively under time pressure or in challenging circumstances
• Problem-solving and able to independently plan and manage own work.
