A sustainable, profitable, and enjoyable future for dairy farmers by combining robotization, engineering, and farming expertise. This is what we believe in.
This journey began over 75 years ago with the dream of two brothers in Maassluis. Since then, we have become an innovative global leader in automated systems for dairy farmers worldwide. With 2,300 specialized professionals, we continuously work on new agricultural revolutions. We still do this from our Campus in Maassluis, the building with the highest achievable sustainability standards in the Netherlands, while also operating around the world. Our goal is to ensure that dairy farming remains attractive for future generations.
In this internship, you will contribute to the development of a practical data-driven indicator that helps dairy farmers understand when their feed kitchen is likely to run empty. Your work helps farmers act proactively instead of reactively. You will translate complex datasets into a practical and understandable indicator that adds real value in a farming context.
You will explore available data sources and work towards an indicator that translates complex information into clear and actionable insights. An important part of the assignment is understanding the needs of different stakeholders and balancing data availability, technical feasibility, and practical usability. Together with technical experts and business stakeholders, you will evaluate different approaches and determine which solution delivers the most value in practice.
Your responsibilities include:
You will document the methodology used, key assumptions made, and the resulting insights and recommendations. At the end of the internship, you will consolidate your findings into a final presentation and present your conclusions and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
You will work in a collaborative data and analytics environment, where data analysts and domain specialists regularly exchange insights. The hybrid setup allows for both focused individual work and on-site collaboration, with direct exposure to the context in which the solution will be used.
Practical information
This internship is an educational or graduation internship. You will start in September, for a duration of 6 months. The position requires a minimum availability of 32 hours per week.
During this internship, you will not only work with data, but also actively shape how it is interpreted and applied. You take initiative, ask critical questions, and enjoy working towards a solution that is both technically sound and practically meaningful.
While analytical skills are important, success in this project also depends on your ability to communicate with stakeholders, challenge assumptions, and translate insights into solutions that are simple, reliable, and easy to use.
We are looking for someone who:
Even if you do not meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply. We believe motivation and curiosity are just as important as experience.
