At Waranara School in Annandale, students in Years 9–12 are supported by specialist staff to overcome challenges, improve wellbeing, and successfully complete their secondary education.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This casual relief role supports students in Years 9–12 on an as-needed basis, delivering engaging, student-centred lessons that promote re-engagement and wellbeing. You will work closely with colleagues, families and community partners to support young people facing complex challenges, while maintaining a safe, inclusive and compliant learning environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver learning: Teach engaging lessons aligned to the NSW (NESA) curriculum for Years 9–12
• Plan with purpose: Develop programs, differentiate learning, and adapt to diverse needs
• Assess effectively: Create and mark assessments to track student progress
• Collaborate: Work with staff and support disability provisions
• Support the school: Supervise students and contribute to meetings
• Grow professionally: Maintain accreditation through ongoing development

We are seeking 1x Casual Relief Teacher to join our MacKillop Education Program based in Annandale, NSW.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Demonstrated experience teaching the NSW (NESA) curriculum in a secondary setting
• Student-centred approach, with strong skills in differentiated instruction
• Highly organised, with proven ability to manage lesson planning, assessment, records and reporting
• Flexible and collaborative, able to work effectively within a small team environment
• Experience supporting secondary students with complex and diverse needs (highly desirable)

You must have a:

• NESA Teacher Registration
• Valid and current NSW Driver’s Licence;
• Satisfactory Criminal History Check;
• Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
• Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check (for risk assessed / client facing roles)
