Basic Employee Responsibilities
Every Q2 ALS employee is expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner.
Specific responsibilities include the following:
• Leading by example by following established Quality, Health and Safety policies & procedures.
• Showing respect and pride for facilities and equipment.
• Being responsible – on time for work, and take breaks during designated times.
• Carrying out other tasks from time to time as assigned by a supervisor or request for assistance as needed.
Position Specific Responsibilities
• Operate stamping machine, load and unload parts.
• Stamp parts as specified on the drawing.
• Operate phosphate station, load and unload parts.
• Dip parts in wax for thread protection.
• Wrap plungers in protective materials and document tracking information. Prep them for shipping.
• Perform weekly/daily tests on the phosphate tanks.
• Stock parts on shelves or organize them in crates for transfer to bin locations.
• Process work orders
• Regular machine cleaning
• Regular preventative maintenance.
• Train new employees if required.
Required Minimum Qualifications
• Mechanical aptitude
• Overhead crane and forklift experience an asset
Physical Demands
• Periodic heavy lifting up to 50lbs,
• Standing for 8 hours
• Machine shop environment
• Inside work
• Ability to work in variety of temperatures
