Senior Software Engineer (React)

PrizePicks is the fastest-growing sports company in North America and the leading platform for Daily Fantasy Sports. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong TypeScript and React expertise to develop internal tooling and platforms that support promotional and partner programs.

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience, with meaningful time building React web applications — ideally including internal tools, admin platforms, or operational dashboards
• History of delivering complex features within a software team to drive business outcomes
• Experience breaking down ambiguous operational requirements into concrete technical plans
• Exposure to integrating with third-party platforms and managing the data contracts between systems
• Advanced proficiency in TypeScript — you write clean, type-safe, production-quality code
• Strong React experience — deep understanding of component lifecycle, hooks, performance optimization, and patterns for data-heavy, form-heavy internal applications
• Experience with RTK Query, React Query, or similar data-fetching and caching layers for complex admin UIs
• Experience building and consuming REST or GraphQL APIs; comfort reasoning about backend data models even if your primary focus is the frontend
• Familiarity with Braze or similar CRM/messaging platforms — understanding how promotions, segments, and campaigns are structured and delivered
• Experience with state management solutions suited to complex, multi-step workflows (form state, async data, optimistic updates)
• Solid testing practices — unit and component testing with Jest; familiarity with Playwright, Cypress, or similar E2E frameworks
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerized local dev environments, and web deployment workflows
• Working knowledge of React Native — enough to contribute to mobile-facing promotional surfaces when needed
• Autonomous — you can take an ambiguous operational problem and drive it to a well-defined technical solution
• Comfortable working directly with internal stakeholders to validate requirements and surface tradeoffs
• Strong written communicator, especially important in a fully remote environment
• Able to balance deep technical work with collaborative design and planning
• Familiarity with React Native is a plus — occasional contribution to mobile promotional surfaces may be required
• Prior experience building internal tooling, back-office platforms, or operational dashboards at scale
• Hands-on experience with Braze — building integrations, managing campaign data, or working with its API
• Familiarity with Go or Ruby/Rails at a read level — enough to navigate BFF and monolith APIs, trace data flows, and collaborate effectively with backend engineers without needing a translator
• Experience with affiliate or partner program platforms, payout workflows, or performance tracking systems
• Familiarity with financial data considerations — auditability, reconciliation, and accuracy requirements around payouts
• Comfort working in Kubernetes-based deploy environments (K8s manifests, ArgoCD) — you don't need to own it, but you're not intimidated by it
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools for coding, planning, and scoping work
• Prior experience working in a remote engineering organization
