Neos Consulting Group is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst for a long-term contract role with their client in Austin, TX. This position will perform advanced business analysis work, serving as the conduit between the program/customer community and the software development team throughout the software development life cycle.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzes user needs, business processes, pain points, and computer system capabilities to automate or improve existing systems
- Elicits requirements using joint application development (JAD), interviews, document analysis, surveys, use cases, competitive product analysis, and workflow analysis
- Transforms information from elicitation sessions into business and functional requirements, use cases, user stories, software requirements specifications documents, wireframes, and mockups
- Acts as a mentor to peers and colleagues in disseminating best practices and proactively seeks out training opportunities
- Uses TEA tools, such as Jira and Modern Requirements, to manage the change control process, participate in the SDLC, and track and communicate requirements status
Requirements:
- 8 years Required — Experience eliciting requirements from interviews with customers and creating well-written system requirements
- 8 years Required — Experience with software development life cycles (SDLCs)
- 8 years Required — Business process re-engineering and software process flow improvement experience
- 8 years Required — Experience developing user stories and use cases that conform to business analysis best practices
- 8 years Required — Experience designing mockups and/or wireframes that conform to UX best practices
- 5 years Required — Demonstrated strong communication and facilitation skills
- 5 years Required — Demonstrated strong writing and organization skills
- 4 years Required — Documented work experience with TEA or a federal/state/local education agency or education vendor
- 2 years Required — Documented work experience with Jira
- 2 years Required — Documented work experience with Modern Requirements
