Core States Group is a company that designs, builds, and manages programs and projects across North America, recognized in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry. As a Senior Civil Project Manager, you will manage various Civil Engineering projects, ensuring timely completion and high standards while coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines and maintaining client relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple projects with multiple clients simultaneously, while ensuring that timelines are met and communicated
- Serve as the lead point of contact for clients
- Manage the financial performance for projects including profit and efficiency evaluations and managing accounts receivable
- Prepare and negotiate proposals and contracts with clients and sub-consultants
- Manage project plans including allocating resources, preparing and monitoring project budgets, and scheduling within project parameters
- Identify design criteria and oversee efficient design and plan preparation
- Solve design problems using engineering calculations and following general design standards
- Coordinate with internal disciplines and external project team
- Manage, develop, and mentor Project Engineers and Designers
- Follow QA/QC practices and procedures while continuing to look for opportunities for improvement of quality and efficiency
- Responsible for fostering continued client relationships and looking for avenues of growth with those clients
- Participate in new client pursuits
- Demonstrate an understanding of constructability and complex design and identify liability issues related to design and construction
- Able to provide risk assessment on projects, estimate potential risks along with costs and probabilities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required
- 10+ years of Civil Engineering Project Management experience in site/civil production, preferably with commercial projects such as retail, hospitality, and/or fueling
- MS Office Required
- Experience working in Civil 3D and AutoCAD
- P.E. would be a plus, but not required
