Core States Group is a company that designs, builds, and manages programs and projects across North America. The Director of Mechanical Engineering will lead and oversee all activities within the mechanical engineering discipline, focusing on business development strategies and operational management.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Mechanical Engineering consulting process, identifying the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring strong relationships, effective communication, and the delivery of exceptional service to clients
- Participate in business development efforts, including attending marketing functions, industry events, and cross marketing with other offices
- Oversee initial program investigations to assess feasibility and requirements
- Prepare and negotiate proposals and contracts with clients and sub-consultants
- Manage and provide leadership to Senior Program Managers and Program Managers. Ensure project timelines are met and effectively communicated back to clients
- Analyze data to support decision-making and implement best practices aligned with key performance indicators and company goals
- Mentor, develop, and support staff, fostering professional growth and team performance
- Other duties as required
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required
- Licenses: P.E. required
- 15+ years of mechanical engineering project and/or program management experience within the A/E/C environment, preferably with commercial programs such as retail or restaurants
- 8+ years of supervisory experience
- MS Office required
- familiar with AutoCAD and Revit a plus
