Gerard Daniel Worldwide is a company with over 70 years of experience in wire and wire cloth products. They are seeking a Business Development Manager to accelerate growth within strategically targeted markets, develop new business opportunities, and expand strategic customer relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Build and execute market and account plans that deliver sustainable, profitable year‑over‑year growth
- Identify, qualify, and pursue high‑value opportunities aligned with GDW’s capabilities and long‑term growth priorities
- Advance a focused pipeline using the Strategic Selling Model, prioritizing opportunities with meaningful long‑term revenue potential (including $500K+ prospects)
- Strengthen engagement within existing accounts to uncover new opportunities and increase share of wallet
- Lead or support quoting strategy, pricing discussions, negotiations, and long‑term agreements
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, Inside Sales, Customer Service, and Leadership to align customer needs with Gerard Daniel Worldwide’s capabilities
- Manage account activity, forecasting, customer engagement, and opportunity progression
- Provide insights on market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to support business planning and growth initiatives
- Represent Gerard Daniel Worldwide at customer meetings, site visits, and industry events
- Perform additional duties that support business objectives
Requirements:
- 3–7 years in sales, account management, or business development, ideally in manufacturing, automotive, industrial, or engineered solutions
- Strong technical aptitude—comfortable with drawings, specifications, product applications, and manufacturing capabilities
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen
- Proven ability to build relationships, manage follow‑up, and grow accounts
- Excellent communication, organization, and follow‑through skills; able to work independently and remotely
- Willingness to travel 50–75% for customer engagement and business growth
- Ability to collaborate effectively across Engineering, Operations, Inside Sales, Customer Service, and Leadership
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Experience in Tier 1 automotive or technical manufacturing strongly preferred
