Nemours is looking to hire an Assistant Research Scientist. The Assistant Research Scientist will conduct research in a variety of clinical and translational research areas and be responsible for the planning and execution of a wide range of research projects. Individual will supervise and train laboratory technicians and students; teach laboratory techniques to fellows; assist in protocol development, securing external funding, supervise study execution, completion, and manuscript preparation. Recommended to hold or working toward academic rank (i.e. Instructor) at one of Nemours’ partner academic institutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
Plan and execute a wide range of projects in translational and clinical research.
Independently perform experiments using a range of scientific techniques.
Write abstracts for presentation and articles for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
Submit external funding grant applications to support ongoing research projects/protocols
Collaborate with Nemours clinical divisions and partner institutions to develop novel research protocols that align with strategic objectives
Interact with and train laboratory technicians and students.
Supervise study execution and completion.
Oversee the maintenance, safety, and running of the laboratory.
