Project Manager Capital Markets
100% Remote
6 12-month Contract
Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead strategic initiatives within a Capital Markets environment. This individual will be responsible for managing complex, cross-functional projects across trading, risk, compliance, operations, and technology teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of capital markets, proven experience delivering enterprise-scale projects, and the ability to drive initiatives from planning through execution while aligning business and technology objectives.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of Project Management experience within Financial Services, Capital Markets, Investment Banking, or related environments
- Strong understanding of capital markets products, trading operations, and trade lifecycle processes
- Experience leading complex, cross-functional projects involving business and technology stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables
- Experience with regulatory, compliance, risk management, or reporting initiatives
- Background supporting system implementations, platform migrations, process automation, or technology transformation projects
- Experience coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system integration, and deployment activities
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Project
- Experience utilizing Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery methodologies
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and executive reporting skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Economics, or related field
Bonus / Preferred Skills:
- PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or related Project Management certifications
- Experience supporting Fixed Income, Equities, Foreign Exchange (FX), Derivatives, or other Capital Markets products
- Knowledge of financial industry regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements
- Experience with trading platforms, risk systems, post-trade systems, or regulatory reporting technologies
- MBA or other advanced degree
- Strong change management and organizational transformation experience
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment
