About this role
Mozilla Corporation is the non-profit-backed technology company that has shaped the internet for the better over the last 25 years. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to mature, maintain, and build features for their Internal Developer Infrastructure Platform, focusing on scalable systems for CI/CD and cloud-native technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Support infrastructure that development teams use to own and operate their services at Mozilla
- Guide technical decision-making and adoption of user-centric solutions
- Create Claude skills and design agentic workflows that improve developer productivity
- Guide team members and promote engineering standard methodologies, with a focus on usability and maintainability
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration for efficient and cohesive platform delivery
- Write proposals and decision briefs for new policies, processes, and platform functionality
- Create new features for the platform with a meaningful value proposition
- Be trusted to resolve unclear but urgent tasks
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in software engineering with expertise in at least one of (Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, SRE, DevOps)
- Proven technical leadership experience
- Expertise in several of the following (ArgoCD, Grafana, K8s, GitHub, Terraform, Helm, Backstage, Cloud Cost Optimization)
- Proficient in Python, JavaScript, or Go
- Strong expertise in cloud-native technologies (GCP preferred; AWS also acceptable)
- Excellent communication skills aligning technology with user needs and organizational goals
- Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity
- Curiosity and interest in learning new things

- Experience with distributed systems architecture and design
- Knowledge of cloud security and governance principles
- Experience designing agentic workflows
