WCG is an organization that values its employees and invests in their success. The Senior Product Manager is responsible for the strategic leadership of a platform within the clinical research space, defining product vision and driving cross-functional execution.
Responsibilities:
- Discovers and validates market problems through:
- Collaborating closely with internal product stakeholders for market-facing product offerings
- Reviewing industry guidelines, specifications, and regulations on an ongoing basis
- Interacting with users/buyers of the platform to collect and synthesize product inputs
- Meeting with current and potential customers to understand the customer voice
- Identifying industry disruptions that are driving spending in the clinical market space
- Thoroughly understands customer needs and user centric design to define internal and external customer requirements
- Optimizes trade-off decisions during the development process
- Provides strategic leadership for the platform or product line, including technical, commercial, and market-facing aspects
- Leads the development of AI-embedded product strategies for the assigned platform or product line, defining how AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics capabilities will be prioritized, sequenced, and delivered to drive measurable client value
- Develops, maintains, and communicates product vision, positioning, value proposition, buyer/user personas, competitive information, and roadmaps for individual products within a product line
- Develops, owns, and maintains roadmap and product vision to gain stakeholder consensus and approval of product initiatives
- Owns the overall scoping of product initiatives in conjunction with setting and managing expectations of business leadership, Engineering, and Data teams
- Coaches and mentors Product Managers and Associate Product Managers in identifying, scoping, and presenting AI-driven product opportunities, ensuring consistent quality of AI feature development across the team
- Contributes to the preparation of statements of work, RFI responses, and marketing collateral
- Delivers presentations/demonstrations at customer sites, trade shows, and via web conference
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience to perform the job
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, business analysis, or software engineering; experience in clinical research or healthcare technology required
- Functional understanding of the broader clinical research process, clinical operations, and/or multiple clinical software systems (e.g., for clinical site support, patient engagement, safety, regulatory review, etc.)
- Commercial software delivery experience in a 21 CFR Part 11 validated environment is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to make rapid and complex decisions that optimize across multiple, and at times, competing objectives
- Demonstrated experience incorporating AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics capabilities into product strategy and roadmap decisions, with the ability to evaluate feasibility, articulate client impact, and align AI investments to business objectives
- Results orientation, team player and holding self and others accountable for achieving results for customers and the business
- Demonstrated ability to operate and influence at the team level in a complex, matrixed environment with the ability to develop product strategies and execute across multiple sets of customers, internal stakeholders, and products
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical matters to technical and non-technical individuals, and to all levels of management
