Analyst, Software Development Engineering

CVS Health is dedicated to building a connected and compassionate health experience. They are seeking a Software Development Engineer to provide critical support for IT systems, ensuring reliability and continuous improvement, while collaborating with various teams to resolve production issues.

Responsibilities:

• Providing Level 1–3 support for critical IT Government Systems business applications
• Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve daily production issues
• Address application incidents, identify root causes, implement permanent fixes, and drive process improvements
• Facilitate Break fix existing codebases to improve application stability, scalability, and performance
• Design and implement new features, contribute to technical architecture, and help advance the engineering roadmap

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in application production support (Level 1–3), incident management, and troubleshooting of enterprise systems
• 1+ years of Software Development Engineering experience using Java, Oracle, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• 1+ Experience with distributed systems, APIs, databases, and cloud technologies (Azure and GCP)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools, logging frameworks, and IT operations processes
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Highschool diploma plus 4 years relevant work experience)
• Experience in healthcare, pharmacy benefits management, or similar regulated industries
• Experience with automation, monitoring, and incident management tools
• Knowledge using AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor, Github Copilot, Windsurf, etc) to accelerate development workflows
