First Opinion is seeking an accomplished Vice President of Product Management to lead their product organization and define the strategic direction of their product portfolio. This role involves developing innovative product strategies, overseeing the full product lifecycle, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver market-leading solutions that drive customer satisfaction and business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the company's long-term product vision, strategy, and roadmap
- Align product initiatives with corporate objectives, customer needs, and market opportunities
- Identify emerging market trends, competitive threats, and new product opportunities
- Prioritize product investments to maximize business growth and customer value
- Drive innovation and continuous product improvement across the organization
- Lead the complete product lifecycle from concept, planning, and development to launch, optimization, and retirement
- Define product requirements, business cases, and success metrics
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products that meet customer expectations
- Manage product portfolios and prioritize initiatives based on strategic business objectives
- Evaluate product performance and recommend enhancements based on customer feedback and market data
- Conduct market research, customer interviews, and competitive analysis
- Gather customer insights to guide product strategy and feature prioritization
- Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success teams to understand customer challenges and opportunities
- Monitor industry trends and technological advancements to maintain market competitiveness
- Partner with Engineering, UX/UI Design, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, and Customer Support teams throughout the product development process
- Lead product planning meetings and cross-functional execution
- Ensure alignment between product strategy, go-to-market planning, and business objectives
- Communicate product vision, roadmap, and business impact to executive leadership and key stakeholders
- Establish product KPIs and performance measurement frameworks
- Monitor customer adoption, engagement, retention, and revenue performance
- Use data-driven insights to optimize product decisions and investment priorities
- Present executive reports on product performance and strategic initiatives
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing Product Management organization
- Recruit and develop Product Managers and product leaders
- Establish best practices for product management, prioritization, and execution
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning
- Support succession planning and leadership development
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- 20+ years of progressive product management experience
- 10+ years of executive or senior leadership experience managing product organizations
- Proven success launching and scaling successful products in competitive markets
- Strong knowledge of product strategy, customer experience, product development methodologies, and market analysis
- Experience managing cross-functional teams in high-growth organizations
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
