About this role
Afrique Mobilités is seeking a Data Engineer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure. The role focuses on ensuring data accessibility and quality for business and technical teams, while collaborating with analysts and data scientists to develop reliable data solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and data integration processes
- Collect, transform, and organize data from multiple sources
- Support the design and maintenance of data infrastructure
- Monitor data quality, accuracy, and system performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues
- Optimize data workflows for efficiency and reliability
- Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and engineering teams
- Support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives
- Document data processes, systems, and workflows
- Follow data governance and security best practices
Requirements:
- Basic to intermediate understanding of data engineering concepts
- Familiarity with SQL and database management systems
- Knowledge of data processing, ETL, or data integration workflows
- Understanding of structured and unstructured data
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Familiarity with cloud platforms or data tools is a plus
- Educational background in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred
