Arrow Electronics is a company that provides electronic components and design services. They are seeking a Field Applications Engineer to help customers select and design-in electronic components, providing technical expertise and support to ensure customer and supplier success.
Responsibilities:
- Drive demand creation by maximizing Arrow content on designs
- Develop an advanced understanding of the customer’s needs and leverage Arrow’s engineering and design services resources to identify & facilitate solutions for customers
- Apply technical expertise to influence designs utilizing solution selling, resources, and strategies
- Partner with the sales team across pre-and post-sales activities
- Provide technical support and consulting to promote demand creation
- Prepare and give technical presentations to customers
- Manage top opportunities and opportunity funnel for assigned suppliers
- Attend supplier trainings in-person and via conference calls
- Demonstrate an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of supplier technologies and how those technologies relate to market needs
- Provide training to sales teams on new products and help market these products to the appropriate customers
- Manage supplier and customer expectations by building and developing relationships, keeping stakeholders up to date on activities, plans, and progress towards initiatives
- Deepen and broaden connections with key decision makers within customers and suppliers
- Attend and actively participate in strategic branch meetings and quarterly business reviews. Develop and drive strategic technical plans by supplier line or customer solution
- Help plan and organize engineering customer events and seminars
Requirements:
- 2+ years of electronic design experience with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- In-depth knowledge and experience with system/board/engineering solutions and electronic components
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Sales experience is beneficial in this role
- This position is customer facing and requires regular onsite visits to their sites
- Requires an electrical engineering degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience
