DevOps Engineer

8Peaks Cloud is a company focused on helping organizations migrate, modernize, and operate workloads on AWS. They are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join their team, responsible for designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automating deployments, and managing AWS environments.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Automate application and infrastructure deployments
• Manage and optimize AWS-based environments
• Support cloud migration projects to AWS
• Implement deployment, rollback, and disaster recovery strategies
• Build infrastructure using Terraform or similar IaC tools
• Configure monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions
• Collaborate with development teams to improve reliability, security, and deployment velocity
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and application issues

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or a related role
• Experience working with AWS services in production environments
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Proven experience implementing end-to-end CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with deployment automation, rollback mechanisms, and scaling strategies
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
• Experience with Docker and Linux systems
• Experience implementing monitoring and observability solutions
• Familiarity with Git-based workflows and modern DevOps practices
• AWS certifications
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, or similar tools
• Experience in cloud migration, managed services, or consulting environments
