As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our Allied Health team.
The Role
The Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner assists individuals and families to identify participant needs, develop meaningful goals and practical strategies to meet those goals in the home and broader community.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional behaviour assessments and develop person-centred positive behaviour support plans
- Support and educate families and carers to implement positive behavioural strategies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary Stakeholder teams to ensure holistic care for clients.
- Maintain required records and documentation of client progress and interventions.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work , Occupational Therapy or Psychology
- Core, Proficient, or Advanced Registered Behaviour Support Practitioner status (NDIS Commission)
- Thorough knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support frameworks including proven experience with functional behaviour assessments, intervention and service delivery practices and restrictive practice authorization processes.
- Strong cultural awareness, particularly in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and CALD communities
- Strong communication, case management, and interpersonal skills
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), NDIS Worker Screening clearance, and valid Australian driver's licence
