Key Responsibilities (may include but not limited to):
- Supervise, lead, hire, and develop assigned drivers
- Actively ensure the reliability, efficiency, and optimization of the Detroit Fleet; including development/maintenance of measure tools to accurately monitor these attributes
- Manage an efficient and reliable network of maintenance and repair contractors for Detroit fleet
- Develop and maintain an eMaintenance PM program for the Detroit fleet
- Serve as primary approver for Detroit Branch Site Assessments
- Manage EDL XRS and Lytx Drive Cam systems to ensure they are being used to their full capability
- Manage Driver Safety Training Program
- Assist in the development of budgets; control spending through appropriate tracking, forecasting, and adjustments for Detroit Fleet
- Conduct Delivery Equipment and Ride-A-Long Safety Audits
- Ensure vendor invoices are accurate for parts and services and follow the PO program.
- Routes and schedules deliveries for the Detroit Branch (Backup)
- Other duties as needed
Required Education / Training / Equivalent Experience (prior to hire / transfer):
- 5 years of driving experience in Hazmat
- CDL Class A with Hazmat and Bulk endorsements
- Working knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
- Computer literate
- Good communication skills
- Good leadership skills
OJT (Required within the initial employment period – varies per position and experience):
- Applicable ADAGE skills
- Service Report system
- Understand all applicable procedures, work instructions, forms, checklists, etc.
- Familiar with SDS, training and ISO9001 databases
- Familiar with Responsible Distribution requirements
- Problem / crisis resolution
- Knowledgeable of products and business strategies
- Knowledgeable of Transportation emergency and security procedures
- 24 hour HAZWOPER course
- Training requirements from the New Employee Checklist
