
The Administrative Assistant 1 will report to Manager. Will provide confidential
entry-level executive administrative/secretarial assistance to the Manager.
handle internal/external complaints, requests and inquiries; refer questions to
other departments when needed and prepare office reports. ESSENTIAL
DUTIES: Handle internal/external employee/customer complaints, requests and
inquiries: answer inquiries and questions and/or refer to appropriate
departments, project positive image of the Executives offices to the public and
customers. Prepare/verify various forms, minutes, contracts, resolutions, etc.,
assist in preparation of area budget. Compile/maintain and monitor highly
confidential files, information and working papers such as matters currently
under consideration by the President & CEO and/or Executive staff, notify
various departments of information, directives and instructions from the
President & CEO, Executive staff and/or Manager/Director. Perform general
office activities which entail receiving/screening visitors, relieving Manager/
Director of any general/routine duties and advising of office/procedural problems
and other matters that need attention. Stay abreast of current status of plans,
directives and activities; assist at special Division functions. Operate Division
vehicle and office equipment. Perform other duties as directed.
LICENSES AND
CERTIFICATIONS
A valid driver's license from state of residence is required.
EDUCATION High School Diploma or General Education Development (G.E.D) and 2 years of
college or business school is required.
EXPERIENCE 2 years of experience; OR high school diploma with 6 years as an administrative
assistant or related is required.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Must successfully complete appropriate Clerical/Secretarial and/or Training
programs for promotional progression within 6 months of hire. Works in office
under good conditions. Physical Demands: Requires sedentary work involving
standing or walking for brief periods, exerting up to 20 pounds of force on a
regular basis; and some dexterity in operating office equipment. The position
requires normal visual acuity and field of vision, hearing and speaking abilities.
