
MacKillop Education Waranara School is an Independent Special Assistance School with students in year 9 to 12. It caters for children and young people who are disengaged or at risk of disengaging from mainstream education. The students referred to Waranara have a history and/or ongoing experience of trauma and their needs are complex and diverse; self-regulation is difficult for our students and this can result in challenging social and emotional behaviours.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Student Wellbeing Advisor will implement, across the school a trauma-informed model of education that promotes unconditional positive regard for young people with complex and diverse needs. The Student Wellbeing Advisor will work collaboratively and provide expert wellbeing support for the students at the school.
