Position Summary
Responsible for providing exceptional guest service while preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards, safety requirements, and applicable alcohol service laws. Maintains a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar while creating a positive guest experience.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up and stock the bar with liquor, mixers, garnishes, juices, and supplies.
- Prepare beverages according to established recipes, standards, and guest preferences.
- Verify guest age and comply with all alcohol service regulations.
- Monitor guests for signs of intoxication and take appropriate action when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area, glassware, utensils, and equipment.
- Present checks, process payments, and accurately handle cash transactions.
- Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction and provide outstanding hospitality.
- Secure beverages, cash banks, and equipment at the end of shifts.
- Follow all company, safety, sanitation, and liquor control procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous bartending experience required (many Schulte postings specify 3+ years).
- Bartending certification preferred.
- Alcohol Awareness/TIPS certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of alcohol service standards and responsible beverage service.
