The Role:
We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated Buyer who brings enthusiasm and expertise to the table. In this role, you’ll support Energy Storage Systems & Battery Manufacturing while collaborating with a dynamic and diverse team to achieve shared goals. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Strategically maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production demands while minimizing stock and carrying costs.
- Work closely with production planning to ensure materials are available to support production.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials, resolve any supply issues, promote a customer-supplier partnership relationship, strategically partner with suppliers to improve on-time delivery metrics, and identify new methods for improving on-time delivery across entire supply base.
- Collaborate with the commodity management team.
- Generate purchase orders, track oreder statuses, and expedite deliveries as necessary to prevent production delays.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in order management.
- Analyze key performance metrics (KPI’s related to material planning and inventory management to identify and implement strategic areas for improvement.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize inventory turnover.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as procurement, logistics, production planning, and quality assurance to ensure smooth coordination across the supply chain.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in business/supply chain or four years of relevant experience in Manufacturing/Supply Chain
- Proficient with Excel and data analytics
- Experience with MRP Systems; SAP preferred
What Sets You Apart:
- Experience in energy storage systems or battery manufacturing
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- CPSM, SCCP, or APICS Certifications
Where and When You’ll Work:
- Enjoy the best of both worlds with a hybrid schedule—collaborate in person at our Kirkwood, NY office and work remotely 1 day per week.
- Schedule is approximately 7:00am – 4:00pm.
What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package will look like:
Salary - $83, 340 - $106, 845 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.
Relocation: This position may qualify for relocation based on selected candidates’ location.
