Job Title: Software QA Engineer / Tester
Location: Richmond VA(local)
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases
- Validate application functionality, performance, and reliability
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders
- Support testing efforts for modernization and migration initiatives
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
- Provide testing insights and recommendations to leadership
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in Software QA / Testing
- Strong experience in Manual + Automated Testing (Automation-focused)
- Hands-on experience with Playwright (Highly Preferred)
- Experience with test automation framework design and execution
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to research new technologies and present findings to leadership
- Experience gathering business and technical requirements
- Experience testing mainframe modernization projects
- Exposure to mainframe to .NET migration
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect lifecycle, and QA best practices
