• Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual demand forecasts.
• Analyze historical sales, market trends, seasonality, and growth plans.
• Create SKU-wise, region-wise, and channel-wise forecasts.
• Continuously improve forecast accuracy.
2. Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
• Lead monthly S&OP meetings.
• Align Sales, Marketing, Finance, PPC, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams.
• Convert business targets into demand plans.
• Highlight demand-supply gaps and recommend corrective actions.
3. Market Intelligence & Business Insights
• Track competitor activities and industry trends.
• Monitor government policies, subsidies, and market developments.
• Analyze demand drivers and customer buying behavior.
• Identify growth opportunities and potential risks.
4. Demand Review & Analytics
• Conduct weekly and monthly forecast reviews. • Measure forecast bias and accuracy.
• Analyze variances between forecast and actual sales.
• Recommend actions to improve planning effectiveness.
5. New Product Demand Planning
• Forecast demand for new product launches.
• Support inventory planning for product introductions.
• Coordinate launch forecasts with Product Management and Marketing teams.
6. Inventory & Service Level Optimization
• Work with Inventory Planning and PPC teams.
• Balance demand forecasts with inventory targets.
• Ensure high product availability while reducing excess stock.
7. Cross-Functional Coordination
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Production, Procurement, and Logistics.
• Communicate forecast changes proactively.
• Ensure business alignment across departments.
Educational Qualification
• B.Tech / BE
• MBA (Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, or Analytics preferred) Experience
• 6–12 years in Demand Planning, Sales Planning, Supply Chain, Business Analytics, or
Forecasting.
• Experience in consumer durables, electricals, solar, automotive, FMCG, electronics, or
manufacturing industries.
• Experience with ERP, Demand Planning, and Business Intelligence tools.
