Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, this position is responsible for leading and managing a team of sales representatives across a defined geographic territory to achieve aggressive sales targets and expand the company’s footprint in residential, commercial, and industrial solar installations. This role is critical to advancing sustainable energy adoption, ensuring customer satisfaction, and positioning the company as a market leader in solar solutions. The Area Sales Manager will be instrumental in building strategic partnerships, identifying new market opportunities, and delivering data-driven sales strategies that align with corporate sustainability goals.
Responsibilities:

Develop and execute territory-specific sales strategies to meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.

Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of sales representatives, ensuring high performance, motivation, and professional development.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities in residential, commercial, and industrial solar markets.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors, contractors, and government agencies.

Conduct market analysis and competitive intelligence to inform sales tactics and pricing strategies.

Oversee the full sales cycle—from lead generation to contract negotiation and project handover.

Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and environmental standards in solar project delivery.

Collaborate with technical and installation teams to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.

Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior management, including sales forecasts, pipeline analysis, and KPIs.

Requirements
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales management, preferably in the solar energy, renewable energy, or clean tech industry.

Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in a team leadership role.

Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, net metering policies, and government incentives (e.g., subsidies, tax credits).

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
