Context
Nexans’ PWR-T Business Group operates through major international projects involving power transmission, cable systems and complex contractual arrangements. In this context, the Paris-based legal team is looking for an intern to support its day-to-day activities. The intern will gain practical experience in contract law and project-related legal matters within an international industrial environment.
Purpose
Under the supervision of the PWR-T Legal Director, the intern will contribute to the legal support provided to (I) tendering, project and purchasing teams, and (ii) internal organisation of the archives / templates of contracts. The internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in contract review, legal research, legal processes, drafting and internal legal support across a range of industrial and commercial matters.
Areas of responsibility
- Tendering and projects: support the legal team in the review of tender, pre-contractual and contract documentation, prepare summaries and first-level analyses, and assist with legal support during project execution, including claims follow-up and contract administration matters
- Contracts and legal research: contribute to the review of contractual documents relating to commercial, purchasing, subcontracting, land projects and R&D activities, and carry out legal research on related issues
- Knowledge management and internal support: help prepare internal notes, presentations and practical materials, and support the organization and updating of digital legal resources on SharePoint, including templates, legal documentation and contract repositories, as well as the organization of the team’s physical legal archives and internal know-how
- AI and digital support: assist the legal team and the digital officer on AI and digital initiatives, including identifying relevant use cases, testing tools, and preparing practical guidance and support materials

Position sizing
Required skills and qualifications
- Strong academic background in law, with an interest in contract law, commercial law and legal issues arising in industrial or project-based activities
- Interest in working in an international industrial and project-based environment
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in an international and diverse team environment
- Well-organized, proactive and reliable
- Fluent in French and English
- Interest in digital tools and AI applications in legal practice is a strong plus
