Certified Nursing Assistant – Medical Surgical Unit at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. This posting represents an On Call/Per Diem, day shift opening with two shifts per 4-week period, including one weekend shift and must be what the unit posts as needed shifts.
In this position you will:
- Contribute to a high functioning team
- Assist RN with admissions, discharges, and transfers
- Measure and record vital signs, output, and weights
- Collect specimens and perform fingerstick capillary blood tests
- Assist with client mobility and transfers, using lifts and safe patient handling devices
- Opportunities for continuing education and professional development, including annual CNA conference
- Other duties as assigned
Performs basic nursing functions and other duties under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Required Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training: Completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care CNA 2 course., Or CNA 2 coursework: Grandfathered to CNA 2 per OSBN requirements.
- Upon hire: Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year general hospital experience.
- 1 year experience as a CNA 2.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
