Our established Community Development group is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to support a range of projects, from commercial pad site and data center developments to large master planned communities and municipal infrastructure improvements projects for various cities and public agency clients.
As a Sr. Civil Engineer, you will evaluate, select, specify, and engineer systems or products, and be able to scope projects based on client interactions and standard due diligence. Additionally, you will provide technical oversight and support the Business Center leadership to provide technical guidance and mentoring to other team members to support their career growth.

Your Opportunity
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in land development and revitalization projects which will support Community Development Leaders as well as project managers from other Stantec disciplines across the western U.S.
As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing technical design solutions, including defining project scope, schedule, and budgets; supporting quality management processes; and preparing technic documents. This will include but not be limited to calculations, design solutions, specifications and field work. In this role, you will be part of and lead teams that deliver preliminary engineering, final design and construction drawings, construction support, and close‑out services for site development projects.

Your Key Responsibilities
The Civil Engineer will collaborate closely with the Regional Community Development team to prepare engineering deliverables such as design drawings, quantity calculations and cost estimates, construction specifications, and engineering studies and reports to industry and regulatory agency standards. This role will also support the preparation of documentation required for permit applications to regulatory agencies.
