
Job Duties: Vice President, Trading with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Conduct analysis of U.S. monetary, fiscal and regulatory policy in conjunction with macroeconomic and geopolitical developments to assess their impact on global liquidity and funding markets by tracking economic data including, but not limited to, major releases such as Federal Reserve Open Market Committee meetings and minutes, labor market data, inflation releases, ISMs and PMIs, retail sales reports, and GDP releases, in addition to the Firm's own high frequency indicators tracking current activity. Create, maintain, and apply models and methods for deploying the Firm’s financing resources based on macro and micro-economic models, incorporating constraints such as customer demand, return on regulatory resources, and maturity/volatility/credit constraints. Responsibilities may include changing & executing orders, managing risk of related books, and building relationships with sales, operations, engineering and structuring teams to facilitate client business. Regularly communicate insights to clients and firm management requesting the team’s opinion of economic and market conditions in real time. Collaborate with strategists and engineers to develop models and automated approaches to pricing, hedging, and managing interest rate, funding, FX, and credit risk. Train junior team members on various economic analyses, trading strategies, and operational tasks.
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Financial Economics, or a related quantitative field and five (5) years of experience in job offered or a related trader role. Must have five (5) years of experience with the following: analyzing market views and risk portfolios for short-dated rates financial products, using macroeconomics, monetary policy, and regulatory policy knowledge; creating and maintaining economic and financial models and frameworks for deploying business capital, based on macro, regulatory, and client constraints; advanced knowledge of Monetary Policy, Federal Reserve, Securities Exchange Commission, Federal Deposit Insurance, and Basel Capital and Liquidity rules; trading and managing a portfolio of fixed income instruments, including Foreign Exchange (FX), futures, cash, interest rate products, and repos; developing presentations on current macroeconomic and geopolitical events, and financial regulations for meetings with C-Suite executives, corporate boards of directors, or regulators; researching economic models and fund flows that drive the quantum and timing of various issuances of debt and their impact on the evolution of short-term interest rates, including Repo, Treasury bill, and Treasury coupon rates; producing content for clients, including trade ideas and perspectives on major economic and market developments, and developing solutions for challenges by leveraging financial engineering, product and market knowledge; working in a large scale global multi asset trading financial institution across multiple asset classes; and working with object-oriented and functional programming concepts. FINRA Series 63 and 7 required.
Salary Range: Annual base salary for this New York, New York -based position is $189,000-$360,000
