
POSITION SUMMARY
The employee in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests. Seats patrons in a professional and timely manner, assuring they have an outstanding dining experience.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides superior guest service, positively affects interactions with guests and team members, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions and the ability to work effectively and courteously with fellow team members.
Answering phone, greeting customers, keeping track of seat availability in restaurant and ensuring rotation of server’s sections per departmental plan.
Be a customer experience owner, act in ways that will surprise and delight our guests. Leave guests with positive feelings about our property and establish/maintain relationships with them. Approach each situation with a “yes we can” attitude, every guest every time.
Must wear black, slip resistant shoes at all times. Clean and professional appearance.
Assists wait staff/busser as needed.
Responsible for maintaining clean and organized host area and assists in maintaining side stations and resetting tables.
Ability to recognize an intoxicated guest and handle according to company and state rules and regulations.
Knowledge and demonstration of workplace safety procedures. Completes all company-required training within designated time frames
Comply with our drug & alcohol-free workplace. Subject to post offer, for cause and post-accident drug tests.
Other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Ability to use all equipment associated with the position including, but not limited to, serving trays, cash register systems, telephone, clearly and effectively, and cleaning equipment.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external guests.
Ability to perform assigned job duties in an interruptive environment under frequent time pressures.
Ability to move effectively and efficiently around restaurant, between chairs, tables and guests.
Walking/Standing 100% of which 15% is bending/lifting (up to 20lbs)
Restaurant/Casino environment--exposed to varied levels of smoke, lights, noise, and temperatures.
Ability to be at work on time as scheduled on a regular basis which may include nights, weekends, and holidays
Report to work in a neat and clean uniform, with slip resistant shoes. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
A high school diploma or GED, and one-year restaurant experience equivalent preferred.
Proficient math and cashiering skills.
