Sr. Data Engineer

PAR Technology Corporation is a leader in restaurant technology, empowering brands worldwide to create lasting connections with their guests. They are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build the next generation of data tools for their retail and commerce loyalty platform, focusing on designing and implementing data pipelines that transform data into valuable insights.

Responsibilities:

• Developing robust, scalable data pipelines using cutting-edge technologies
• Architecting and developing innovative data products that drive business insights
• Utilizing advanced AI techniques to transform raw data into strategic intelligence

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles
• Experience leading projects and collaborating across teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement
• Commitment to staying updated with industry technology trends
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs and coding agents to amplify day-to-day output, including the harnesses and internal tooling that let you and the rest of the team move faster
• Programming: Python, SQL, Terraform
• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and practices
• Big Data Technologies: Spark, Databricks, Structured Streaming
• Relational (Postgres) and NoSQL (DynamoDB) databases
• CI/CD: CircleCI, DroneCI, Github Actions, Spacelift
• Monitoring & Observability: DataDog
• AWS or Azure and their data solutions
• Understanding data privacy, security, and governance practices
• Ability to integrate AI/ML models into data pipelines
• Experience with Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, MCP, Agent Orchestrators
