Government and Public Sector - AI & Data - Data Engineer

EY is a global leader in consulting and audit services, helping government clients achieve their mission outcomes. The Data Engineer role involves designing and maintaining data pipelines and reporting infrastructure to ensure reliable access to enterprise data for analytics and decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes
• Integrate structured and unstructured data from multiple source systems
• Support recurring report generation and dashboard development
• Implement validation, quality assurance, and reconciliation processes
• Develop automated reporting and data-processing solutions
• Support data governance, metadata management, and documentation requirements
• Collaborate with STU, ITM, DQI, and OCIO stakeholders
• Participate in business requirements gathering and technical implementation planning
• Perform database optimization and performance tuning
• Support IIDS enhancements, automation initiatives, and reporting modernization efforts
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and operational guides
• Support testing, deployment, and maintenance activities for reporting solutions

Requirements:

• Eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
• Bachelor's degree
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or database development
• Strong SQL and ETL development experience
• Experience with Python and data integration tools
• Experience working with enterprise-scale data environments
• Knowledge of data quality, governance, and reporting processes
• Experience with Tableau, Qlik, ArcGIS, Databricks, AWS, Azure, or Foundry
• Knowledge of MLOps, AI governance, and model validation practices
• Federal government or law enforcement analytics experience
• Graduate degree in a quantitative field
