Role: Business Analyst
Location: Alexandria, VA
Duration: 6 months Contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements
- Translate business needs into detailed technical specifications and user stories
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, QA, and stakeholders to deliver solutions
- Perform system analysis, gap analysis, and feasibility studies
- Support solution design, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams
Create and maintain documentation (BRDs, FSDs, data flows, use cases)
- Support testing (SIT/UAT), validation, and troubleshooting
- Identify process improvements and optimization opportunities
- Analyze data and generate insights for decision-making
Assist with system implementation, integration, and user training
Required Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodology
- Experience with APIs, system integration, and data flows
Proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools [Power BI/Tableau]
- Knowledge of tools like JIRA, Confluence, UML/BPMN
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language
Cloud platforms (AWS) (optional but preferred)
