Senior AWS/Cloud Database Engineer

BCMC is a small business specializing in Information Technology and Cybersecurity. They are seeking a Senior AWS/Cloud Database Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based database systems while optimizing performance and ensuring data security.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage databases and data delivery systems and transform them into insights, analysis, and reports
• Create automation for repeating database tasks
• Manage and optimize databases for maximum performance, efficiency, and quality
• Ensure that all database systems meet business and performance requirements
• Produce ad-hoc queries and develop reports to support business needs
• Participate in data migration, data integration, and data conversion projects
• Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
• Work closely with development teams for database design, implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance

Requirements:

• US Citizen, eligible for DoD Secret Clearance
• 8+ years of proven work experience as a Cloud Database Engineer or similar role
• Knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL
• Experience with database design, documentation and coding
• Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding
• Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third party tools
• Experience with AWS cloud services
• Familiarity with programming languages API
• Experience with ServiceNow FSM is a plus
