IT Systems Technician

Position Title: IT Systems Technician
Location: Montgomery, AL
Clearance Requirements: None
Pay Rate: $20/hour on W2

Position Description:
Join our team as an IT Systems Technician, serving as the first point of contact for clients and customers. In this role, you will perform general troubleshooting, support application issues, and document resolutions using ServiceNow ticketing system. You will route unresolved issues to Tier 2 support, follow up with clients, and assist in maintaining service desk procedures. Limited systems administration may be required. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, technical troubleshooting background, and excellent communication abilities. This is a full-time, onsite contract-to-hire position in Montgomery, AL.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the initial contact for client and customer support inquiries via phone or email
• Troubleshoot common software and hardware issues following documented procedures
• Document all support activities and resolutions in ServiceNow
• Escalate unresolved tickets to Tier 2 support for further assistance
• Follow up with clients and internal teams to ensure timely problem resolution
• Review and update service desk procedures regularly
• Assist with basic systems administration tasks as needed

Top Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of Service/Help Desk experience
• Solid troubleshooting skills and Tier 1 application support knowledge
• Proficiency with computers, operating systems, Office 365, and MS Office Word & Excel
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• High school diploma; 1 year of experience in troubleshooting software or IT support

• Knowledge of Ivalua Procurement, CGI Advantage, or CGI HRM applications (preferred)
• Experience supporting or configuring ERP style applications (preferred)
• Additional technical certifications or coursework in Information Systems (preferred)
• Ability to work independently and in team settings with attention to detail
